Jailbreaking!! Mind bending

Being in IT I believe I have a good understanding of technical stuff, I can program a VCR, design and implement complex wintel solutions. Even work out the I-Drive system in the BMW but since the 3G IPhone arrived yesterday do you think I have been able to Jailbreak it?!?!?!?!?
No is the answer, I tried WINPWN but it just wouldn't work. In the end I had to call a client who is also a good friend of mine to find out how he jailbroke his IPhone. Was a very embarrassing day and a sad event when I am calling on non technical people for technical advice :(

The ever changing wallpaper

What is on your screen right now??
Wallpaper for me in one of those things that I set and then within a few hours I get bored and want to change to something else. This can get a little tiresome...but not anymore, not with Desktoptopia. A great piece of software that you install on your Mac/Windows machine and it will change your wallpaper for you according to the time value set (mine is now set to every ten minutes).It can be downloaded from www.desktoptopia.com. It's geeky but has some interesting images. Gets a big thumbs up from me.

Vista...do you

I know Vista has been out along time but do you use it? I only have it installed on one machine and that is my business laptop, everything else is stil running XP. The reason I have vista installed on my laptop is that I have clients who run it so I need to be able to support their devices.

I remember when I first installed Vista on the laptop, I was so dissapointed by the performance that I spent the next 24 hours removing services and modifying it that in the end it was looking and working just like Vista. It did run quicker, and this is my main reasn for not upgrading everythin else to the O/S. My laptop is a very well spec'd machine but needs the processing power of NASA to run as quick as I would like.

My new Mac that arrived yesterday on the other hand runs very quick...................................
