Not one but two

Ok so I have finally taken the plunge and ordered my self a Macbook, the force was to strong and I decided that yes the time had come to try another operating system. Actually excited to try it out.

Also ordered my 3G IPhone today, main reason being that my gen 1 phone has been playing up so thought what the heck.

Knolload TV

Yes Knolload Tv will be coming to a screen near you soon, mwah.

What a lovely view

Stumbled across the ultimate desktop wallpaer changer, the product is called Desktoptopia. A neat program that will randomly switch (at pre-defined intervals)wallpapers from a source on the internet. The pictures are actually very good and you have the option to remove what ever subjects you are not interested in.
Great little program which can be found here http://www.desktoptopia.com/

Going going gone...

Broadband fault in my area. Normally see 20MB but now after performing a few seed tests it has gone down to 5MB, now 1.5MB now less than 1MB. Please be fixed in the morning...........................

Do I need a Mac?

In all the years of being in IT and working with computers, Windows based machines have been everything I have needed. I run an Windows 2003 network, use Exchange 2003 and all my desktops/laptops are XP (oh and one Vista machine) even my web hosting is Windows based. So you could say I am a slave to our lord Bill :)

After the purchase of my IPhone which I may add makes any Windows Mobile device look slow and dated, I have found my self wondering should I buy a Mac. This has come about partly because I do alot of web design work and spend time messing around with pictures and video's and on a recent visit to a friends house who is a photography by trade was showing me round his Macbook Air. After 30 minutes of him playing around with photos, videos it just seemed to me that for digital media Mac's are the way forward.

I am not saying that I will be removing all Windows machines from the office or home as they still have a very important place but I do feel it is time for Microsoft and I to have a more open relationship. Also these things can be picked up at reasonable prices from the stores on Ebay :)

Cable Management

Cables everywhere!!!

I have a few machines in my home office :) and the other day I noticed just how untidy they all are. I need a cable management solution as I feel an OCD episode coming on over this. Cable ties are not an option because I want something that allows a quick cable swap out should the need arise without the need to start cutting ties.

To 3G or not 3G?? That is the question

Ok so here is the deal, I have had my 2G IPhone for 6 months now and recently started using it again after a period of going back to my N95 8GB. The reason for this was that I did not believe the IPhone was a true business device. I don't use my phone for email as I have a Blackberry 8800 for that.

Anyway as I said I have started using my IPhone again and it now all makes sense as to what this device is all about (yes I am a bit slow on the uptake it would appear).

So now I am toying with the idea of getting a 3G IPhone, the question is do I really need one? I don't tend to surf the net on the device unless I am in a wifi hotspot. Other than 3G I don't really see what other benefits there are to the version 2 handset???

The pondering continues.

Chris Pirillo

Stumbled upon this guy whilst searching for videos for the IPhone on Youtube.

Finding Chris's vids addictive. Check them out for yourself.

It's alive!!!! Alive

Ok so it isn't realy alive but it is 1:05am in the UK and I am tired and for some reason felt the urge to set up my own Blog. I'll be honest I am not sure why, form wise I have no idea but we will see what happens as the weeks progress.

Of course you may be asking why I am up till this time of night?? Well mainly due to the fact I was sorting out my home office as it was in need of a tidy up.
